Sustainability is at the core of what we do. We have a dedicated in-house environmental and sustainability committee who continuously research and investigate all best practice in terms of environmental policy and the use of appropriate sustainable methodologies.
The information gathered and experience disseminated throughout the Practice has enabled our projects to benefit from the positive introduction of appropriate sustainable methodology together with a realistic approach to environmental considerations. From initial sketch design considering proper place-making and orientation to maximising south facing aspects, through to ventilation and breathing wall technology and sustainable locally sourced materials, we have adopted a flexible approach to the integration of green methodology within our design approach framework.
As a result our portfolio boasts Scotland’s first EPC ‘A’ rated EPC building in Scotland, NG Bailey’s regional HQ at Strathclyde Business Park. We were involved in the masterplan for Ravenscraig Town Centre which was the first project in Scotland, and second in the world, to be awarded a BREEAM Communities Excellent award. Other BREEAM ‘Excellent’ projects extend to all sectors of our portfolio, ranging from residential developments, through bespoke retail developments, to state-of-the-art education facilities.
