Marks & Spencer opens its doors at Glasgow Fort

The new Marks & Spencer store, designed by Cooper Cromar as part of the comprehensive expansion of the phenomenally successful Glasgow Fort retail development, has opened its doors to the public.

Located to the south of the existing shopping park, the 80,000ft² Marks & Spencer store anchors a 175,000ft² extension to the existing mall which is terminated by an iconic three-storey pavilion. This elegantly sculpted stainless steel-clad box, visible from all sides, is designed to form a new entrance feature on the M8 motorway frontage.

Construction has also recently commenced at Glasgow Fort on a 600-space multi-storey car park with an additional 11,000ft² of retail/restaurant space being created at ground level.
