Kirkstall Forge is a new development on a former industrial site in Leeds which is being transformed into a thriving mixed-use community in a stunning woodland and riverside setting.
Number One Kirkstall Forge, completed in November 2017, is the first of three office buildings that sets the standard for this prestigious development.
Offices need to inspire those working within them. The variety of spaces offered becomes key – collaboration amongst employees has moved far beyond the water cooler. Quiet rooms, telephone or skype rooms, break-out pods and places to eat together can provide flexible, co-working environments enabling the team to work in the space that best suits their daily to-do list
Number One has taken into account these collaborative working concepts to provide fit-out flexibility. With the opening of Butler’s – the ground floor bar/restaurant, flexible reception space, working pods and break-out areas, Number One has become the perfect environment to meet, chat, work and get good coffee.
It is also the first ever commercial building in Yorkshire to be awarded Wired ‘Platinum’ certification by the digital connectivity rating company WiredScore.
New homes, office, shops, restaurants and other facilities and a six-minute train journey from a dedicated new railway station into Leeds City Centre will make Kirkstall Forge one of the most unique developments in the market.
Number One delivers approximately 110,000 sqft of Grade ‘A’ commercial office space. Subsequent phases will deliver another 200,000 sqft of Grade ‘A’ office space.
Simon Walsh, Director at Cooper Cromar said: “Cooper Cromar has been involved with the Kirkstall Forge project for over three years. We are delighted that Number One Kirkstall Forge has reached completion. The design of the building is intended to subtly intertwine the industrial heritage of the site with placemaking, sustainability, cultural values and quality. ”
Kirkstall Forge has been shortlisted for ‘Commercial Workplace’ at the Regional BCO Awards 2018. Details to follow.
