Both Eastgate and Clydesmill Community Fire Station have been announced as finalists at this year’s Scottish Design Awards.
Eastgate, shortlisted within the ‘Commercial/Offices Building or Project’ category is Glasgow’s largest new-build office development providing 65,000ft² of Grade ‘A’ office accommodation located on a brownfield site 300 yards to the east of the historic Bridgeton Cross.
Clydesmill Community Fire Station is shortlisted with the ‘Public Building’ category. The 18,740ft² state-of-the-art new facility is located on the south bank of the River Clyde and has resulted from the merger of two existing stations at Parkhead and Cambuslang.
The Scottish Design Awards aim to promote design and architectural practices and to demonstrate their ability to lead the world in their chosen industry. Cooper Cromar was commended last year for both G1 George Square and the St Enoch Centre in Glasgow.
The winners will be revealed on May 25th at the awards ceremony in Glasgow.
