A new future for Twechar

Cooper Cromar have completed the first phase of a new build housing development for Places for People in the former mining village of Twechar.

The 45 unit expansion of Davidson Crescent provides a housing layout that takes advantage of the distant hillside views. Set within a shared surface street environment, the streets and spaces are designed with a pedestrian emphasis. Private car parking is positioned within a mixture of street parking and rear courtyards with landscaped pocket parks connecting the development with the surrounding countryside.

The project forms a key element in the regeneration and expansion of Twechar which will provide 300 new homes, additional community facilities, open space and infrastructure when completed.
