Green light for new Community Centre in Cadder

Designs for a new Community Centre in Cadder have been approved by Glasgow City Council.

Local residents, keen to improve the area, successfully campaigned to save the existing Community Centre from closure by Glasgow City Council in 2010 and the Centre has since been transferred to a Management Committee of local residents, working with and supported by staff and committee from Cadder Housing Association.

Cooper Cromar have worked closely with the local community, Cadder Housing Association, and Community Links Scotland to design a new Centre that will accommodate the communities current needs along with improved social and educational drop-in services.

The project is expected to commence on site later this year.
