Work begins on £45m development at Glasgow Fort

A £45m extension of the phenomenally successful Glasgow Fort retail development, designed by Cooper Cromar, is now underway.

Located to the south of the existing retail park and anchored by an 80,000ft² stainless steel clad Marks & Spencer store, the 175,000ft² extension to the existing mall will be terminated by an iconic three-story pavilion. This elegant sculpted stainless steel clad box, visible from all sides, is designed to form a new entrance feature for the motorway frontage.

The Practice have also submitted a planning application to construct a 600-space multi-storey car park with 5,000ft² of restaurant at ground level.

Work is expected to be completed by May 2015.
