Edinburgh residential development in the running for a Scottish Home Award

Lighthouse Court has been announced as a finalist for the Large Affordable Housing Development of the Year award at this year’s Scottish Home Awards.

Designed for Places for People, Lighthouse Court provides a mixture of ground floor duplex accommodation with stylish one, two and three bed apartments across seven floors.

To the rear of the development a range of three storey family townhouses are located to reflect existing streetscape densities and scale. Within the heart of the development a private decked landscape garden area is provided with naturally ventilated undercroft car parking for the apartments.

The development has been praised by local residents: “I feel as if I am on a constant holiday living in this apartment. The layout of the open plan lounge/kitchen area is fantastic & functional. It is light, airy, spacious & opens onto a roof terrace with spectacular views across the Forth allowing me to relax and unwind after a hard day’s work.”

Winners will be announced on Thursday 19 June at Edinburgh International Conference Centre.
