Situated on Edinburgh’s Leith coastline, this mixed-use development comprises 3,400 residential units ranging from 3 – 12 storeys and 376,737ft² of mixed use commercial and retail space surrounding the listed middle pier and harbour creating a vibrant destination.
The masterplan reflects a series of squares providing permeability and secure supervised open amenity space with car parking provision provided under a partial undercroft central deck.
View corridors have also been recognised as an important factor in the masterplan ensuring a legibility of streetscapes exploiting views to both the River Forth and Leith.
A landscaped public realm has been extended from the Upper Strand (Granton) through the Masterplan to the harbour which, with the provision of shops and cafes, will provide a distinctive character area.
Canals have also been integrated to provide a unique nautical flavour to the North West area of the development.
