EuroPC commissioned Cooper Cromar to produce proposals that maximised an available development plot at Cardonald Business Park. The site had capacity for greater space that was required for their operation. We arrived at a solution where Building 1, for EuroPC, was created at circa 27,000ft² inclusive of bespoke internal office and amenities fit-out, thereafter Building 2 was created providing 12,500ft² of flexible space for let or for sale.
EuroPC were established in 1996, and have grown to become one of the UK’s largest suppliers of discounted computer equipment for home and business from this Headquarters and Distribution Centre.
Both buildings were designed to comply with institutional standards with respect to portal height and grid configuration, flexible location of internal fit-out elements and possible access door and yard configurations combined with a level of envelope performance and reliability, all designed to ensure the ongoing flexibility and institutional value of the buildings.
