Cruden Homes

£4.35m

Fusing old-school elegance with contemporary specification, this unique residential development comprises an eclectic mix of 16 refurbished flats and 18 new build apartments, located on the site of a former primary school at the end of the High Street in West Port, Linlithgow.

The original schoolhouse building has been transformed into two and three bedroom flats accessed from a shared double height atrium and common amenity space.

The new two/three bedroom residential apartments are open plan in their design with some featuring split level living. The apartments are grouped in a two-four storey block which forms a robust perimeter build to the playground boundary, with a feature four storey gable elevation created at the focal roundabout junction to the site. Materials and detailing reflect the local vernacular together with elements of contemporary metal work finishes.

The internal courtyard forms a landscape space for the benefit of all occupants and is orientated to achieve maximum sunlight throughout the day.
