The comprehensive and challenging extension of Beaconhurst School, situated in the picturesque town of Bridge of Allan adjacent to Stirling Castle, has provided 16,845ft² of much needed additional facilities.
The proposals to construct these facilities were complicated by the existing topography of slopes in excess of 45 degrees. However, after extensive discussions with planners we successfully minimised the impact of the development on the existing hillside.
Set within private, landscaped surroundings, new facilities include a separate classroom block offering four large classrooms, a dining hall with wonderful views across to Stirling Castle, a full width decked outside terrace with viewing gallery and a new open space sports hall.
The school now accommodates a nursery, junior school and senior school and the compact campus provides all the facilities expected in a modern, dynamic school community.
