Carvill Scotland Ltd / Dunbritton Housing Association / Bield Housing Association

£30m

As part of a comprehensive redevelopment strategy of the former Allied Distiller’s site adjacent to the River Leven in Dumbarton, Cooper Cromar has prepared detailed proposals for the two individual residential and commercial developers who each own approximately 50% of the site.

On behalf of Carvill Homes, the current proposals comprise a mixed tenure scheme of 240 units in total.

32 dedicated retirement units will be provided for Bield Housing Association while 59 mainstream flats and terraced houses, built to HFVN standards, are proposed for Dunbritton Housing Association. Carvill Homes will retain the balance of the site for redevelopment for flats and townhouses for sale to private purchasers.

In response to the published waterfront design framework, the scheme has been designed to address both its prime riverside frontage as well as the further views to both Dumbarton Castle and the Clyde Estuary.
