This City Centre development comprises a change of use from a Clydesdale Bank branch on basement and ground floors, to form 20,000ft² of Class 1 retail space on Buchanan Street, Glasgow’s prime retail location.
Access, fire escape and servicing were separated from the rest of the building to create stand alone retail and separate office space. On completion the conversion created the single largest retail opportunity on Buchanan Street and was subsequently leased to New Look.
The remainder of the six-storey 1970’s office building was refurbished to provide modern Class ‘A’ HQ office accommodation for the owner, National Australia Group (NAG). Replacement of all M&E systems, together with a high quality interior fit-out designed to compliment the new working practices being introduced by NAG, completed this challenging project.
