The Hub comprises 73,500ft² of highly flexible managed business space within the Digital Media Quarter at Pacific Quay. It’s riverside location next to the BBC, SMG, Film City Glasgow, and Glasgow Science Centre puts it at the centre of an emerging Digital Media Quarter on the south bank of the Clyde as envisaged by the Scottish Enterprise masterplan.
Designed with the needs of the creative industries in mind, the building has an onsite café bar and events area to encourage media sector business to meet, connect and flourish 24/7. Conceived as a series of open plan floor plates the building can be sub-divided quickly and efficiently to provide suites ranging from 127ft² to 43,500ft² to suit market and tenant demand.
The Glasgow School of Art’s Digital Design Studio (DDS) will occupy 16,000ft² of purpose built space that incorporates its state of the art 3D digital projection studio. As a separate enterprise, DDS and Arup Acoustics also plan a joint venture company which includes a high-tech Sound Lab to develop and marry 3D environments with acoustic technology.
