The Physical Disability Respite Centre provides a range of local services for disabled people, in the village of Uphall, 14 miles from Edinburgh City Centre.

The development comprises a respite centre and tenancy units. The centre offers homes to four long term care individuals who require a high level of personal care and support as well as two respite placements. The seven tenancy units are specifically designed to cater for people with physical disabilities who lead a predominantly independent life.

The curved respite centre blends harmoniously into it’s natural landscaped surroundings maximising the area of outdoor space. The lounge and dining areas are located in the centre of the building and are situated behind glazed panels, making full use of natural daylight and enjoying views over the private gardens.

The centre has a light and airy environment, providing a warm and welcoming space for its residents.
