Places for People

Phase Three of the Harvesters Way development offers 168 modern, high spec apartments, houses and town houses within two fully enclosed landscaped squares, with a designing streets and places approach to the public realm.

The project was developed to a detailed planning application using a Revit platform working with our design team who used the building model to develop both structural and services design solutions.

The development includes a six storey feature tower building providing a gateway and focal point to the development, taking advantage of both countryside views and the River Forth.

This development re-develops a long standing brownfield site and connects the recently completed Healthy Living Centre by City of Edinburgh Council and earlier phases of housing by Places for People.

The development provides a high quality public square providing access to the adjacent railway hub and retail leisure centre within Westside plaza.

A reintroduced public transport service together with pedestrian and cycle connections to the arterial "Greenway"routeĀ  this delivers a highly sustainable development for the community of Wester Hailes.
