This 19,000ft2 retail development in Uddingston, on the outskirts of Glasgow, comprises a 16,000ft2 Marks & Spencer Simply Food Store and three adjoining commercial units.
Built on a brownfield site, the building is conceived as an elegant and contemporary pavilion structure.
Proposed materials include terracotta cladding, curtain walling and dark metallic grey panels with grey timber infill louvres.
The site is already partially developed as a mixed use food retail / office park, which will be supplemented by a larger masterplan including residential use to the North and East of the site.
The building has been designed using the latest BIM technology which has been used throughout the project from concept design to completion, working collaboratively with Consultants, The Client Body, Main Contractor and End User.
Our highly skilled and fully trained CAD Design and Technology team utilise ‘Autodesk’ products including Revit and Navisworks, supported by our dedicated in-house BIM Manager who is responsible for developing and maintaining our Practice-specific electronic BIM platform and protocols.
