This mixed-use City Centre development comprises the extensive refurbishment of the Grade ‘A’ listed Tontine House on Buchanan Street, Glasgow’s prime retail location.
Occupying a prime corner site, the refurbishment extends to 45,000ft² and comprises the extensive alterations of the ground floor, including the listed banking hall, to provide high value retail and leisure space together with total refurbishment of the upper floors to create new, flexible office space.
Extensive structural alterations to the existing building and additions to the fabric at high level maximised the lettable area of the upper office floors and created a dedicated office street entrance lobby.
The new refurbished ground floor retail space has successfully attracted high profile retail and leisure tenants new to the City.
Extensive façade and internal alterations to this key listed building within the City’s Central Conservation Area were successfully negotiated with the Planning Department and Historic Scotland.
